Radio Alias

    The user can set an alias for the radio and may enter up to a maximum of 16 characters. Valid characters are alphanumeric, spaces and special characters. Refer to the below note section.

Note:

    -If the alias length exceeds the maximum length that can be displayed, a radio will cut off some excess automatically, in general, the maximum length of the alias at each model is as following :

    Hand-held:   15 digits or 10 to 16 alphabet characters or 8 Chinese characters.

    Mobile:  Mobile: 13 to 16 digits or 8 to 16 alphabet characters or 7 Chinese characters

    Repeater: 16 digits or 10 to 16 alphabet characters or 8 Chinese characters.
